Applied Energistics 2

What the mod does Applied Energistics 2 replaces chest rooms with a single network that stores items as digital data. You build a controller, add drives and storage cells, then connect machines and terminals with cables. Items move through the network on request, and the system tracks every stack without you opening a single inventory screen. The mod also adds spatial storage cells that can capture an entire region of the world - blocks, entities, and all - and restore it elsewhere. ## Auto-crafting and patterns Define a recipe once in a pattern encoder, give the system the raw ingredients, and it'll craft the result on demand. Complex chains resolve automatically: request a thousand redstone furnaces and the network queues every intermediate step, pulls materials from storage, and routes them through the right machines. You only need to keep the inputs stocked. ## Networking and channels Devices connected to the same network can communicate and interact with each other, and the channel system limits the number of devices that can be connected to a single cable, adding a layer of planning and organization to your builds. ## New resources and progression Certus Quartz, Fluix Crystals, and the Inscriber form the backbone of early progression. You grow pure crystals in water, combine them with redstone and nether quartz, then press circuits in the Inscriber. Decorative variants of every new block exist for builds that want the aesthetic without the function. ## Compatibility and requirements The mod runs on Neoforge, Fabric, and Forge. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.20.1, 1.21.1, and 26.1.2. Both client and server must have the mod installed. No hard dependencies are required beyond the loader itself. The license is a custom multi-license arrangement (LicenseRef-Multiple); check the project page if you plan to redistribute or include it in a pack.
