What the mod does
Build Height Incendium is a project by ASTRELION. Its purpose is clear and focused. It increases the build height in the Nether from 256 to 384 blocks.
The project is built specifically for use with the Incendium datapack. When you play with Incendium, this mod keeps the default Incendium logical height of 192. Here's the thing, you get an expanded ceiling for placing blocks and creating structures, while the underlying Incendium height values stay as intended.
World compatibility and portal behavior
The mod works directly on worlds that run the Incendium datapack.
You can also run this project on non-Incendium Nether worlds. It'll apply the 384 build ceiling to those worlds as well.
Running on non-Incendium worlds comes with a specific portal behavior to consider. The project keeps the logical height value at 192. This logical height of 192 causes Nether portals to generate up to y=191. On standard worlds without Incendium, having portals generate up to y=191 may not be ideal for your setup. It does not break the world, but you'll want to account for high portal spawns.
Loaders and Minecraft versions
ASTRELION targets Minecraft versions 26.2 and 26.3 with Build Height Incendium.
The project accommodates many different setups. It supports Fabric, Forge, Neoforge, Quilt, and Datapack. You can pick whichever loader matches your existing game setup.
The project is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only.
Installation and environment
Build Height Incendium is cataloged under the Utility & Quality of Life and World Generation categories.
On the environment side, server side installation is required. The server handles world height limits and dictates the 384 build height for all connected users.
Client side installation is optional. Individual players don't need to install the mod or matching loader on their computers to enter the server. This keeps joining simple for players.
