What it doesItemFavorites is a small utility mod that gives you a way to protect specific items from being moved, dropped, or swapped by mistake. You mark an item as a favorite by holding ALT and clicking it. Once marked, that item ignores a range of vanilla and modded inventory actions.## How favoriting worksThe control is deliberate: hold ALT, click the item. No extra menus, no commands. The favorite state sticks to that item stack until you remove it the same way. It works in your hotbar, in your main inventory, and in any container screen you open.## Vanilla interactions blockedWhen an item is favorited, three common accidents stop working on that stack. You can't drop it by pressing Q or by dragging it outside the inventory window. Shift-clicking it won't quick-move it into a chest, barrel, or another container. Pressing a number key to swap the hotbar slot with an item from your inventory will also skip over the favorited stack.## Mod compatibility featuresThe mod also hooks into two popular inventory helpers. If you run QuickStack, favorited items won't be pulled into its quick-stack operation. If you run Inventory Sorting, favorited items will stay put while the rest of the inventory gets sorted. Both integrations are automatic; no configuration is required.## Who it suitsPlayers who keep key tools, totems, or building blocks in fixed hotbar slots will benefit most. It also helps anyone who frequently shift-clicks stacks into storage and has lost a favorite pickaxe or stack of blocks to a misclick. The mod is lightweight and doesn't add new items, blocks, or world data.## CompatibilityItemFavorites runs on Fabric and Quilt. It requires both client and server installation. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.19.3, 1.19.4, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, and 1.20.4. The license is MIT.
