Overview and Background
Mythic Metals is a Minecraft modification created by Noaaan for the Fabric mod loader. The project adds a wide selection of new ores, raw materials, anvils, tools, weapons, and complete sets of armor. Heavily inspired by Shadowclaimers Metallurgy, the project began development from the ground up after an initial proposal to create a direct port was declined.
Exploration and Ore Processing
The mod enriches mining by distributing distinct ore types across subterranean environments. Different ores occupy their own regions of the underground, extending beyond standard depths into The Nether and The End. Players can gather these deposits, which include materials like nether banglum, and process them in multiple ways. Ores can be smelted, blasted, or combined using an Alloy Forge to create decorative metals and specialized alloys.
Equipment and Capabilities
Using refined metals and alloys, players can craft high-tier equipment that extends beyond standard vanilla power levels. The available armory features weapons such as swords stronger than netherite, specialized tools like a pickaxe capable of blasting through obsidian walls, and distinctive armor sets that grow over time. Crafting options also include pieces such as osmium chainmail armor made using smithing templates and osmium.
Compatibility and Installation
Mythic Metals is built specifically for the Fabric loader and requires installation on both the client side and the server side. Look, supported Minecraft versions include 26.1.2, 1.20.1, 1.21.1, and 1.21.4. The project incorporates Spanish translations alongside community-submitted language files provided through repository pull requests and issue tickets.
Distribution and Licensing
The mod is open for inclusion in any modpack and is used in collections such as Euphoric Curiosities, Medieval Minecraft (Fabric), and BounceSMP. That source code is released under the MIT License and can be referenced or reused as a foundation for implementing blocks, ingots, tools, armor, and custom ore generation. All visual texture assets remain All Rights Reserved and can't be redistributed without permission.
