Qué hace este proyecto

What prism does

Prism is a client-side library created by Grend. And it provides color-related code and tools for other mods that depend on it.

You don't install this for standalone content. Instead, other client mods call into it to handle palette work and color routines. If another mod asks for Prism, you place it in your mods folder. It handles the color backend quietly in the background.

It is built only for the client. The mod is required on your game client and is unsupported on dedicated servers. Don't try placing it on a server. It won't work there.

Compatibility and loaders

Loader support spans common modern modding environments. Honestly, you can run Prism on Fabric, Forge, or Neoforge.

Supported Minecraft releases include specific targets. These exact game versions are 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, and 1.21.11. Match your game build directly to one of these versions. Don't assume unlisted releases will load it.

Because it's strictly client-side, your multiplayer server doesn't need it installed. You keep it locally alongside your other client-only files. When a dependent visual mod needs color logic, Prism supplies what that mod expects.

Categories and licensing

The project is classified under three distinct areas on Modrinth. You find it tagged under Building & Decoration, Libraries & APIs, and Utility & Quality of Life. These tags point to its role as a shared technical base for decorative items and user interface tweaks.

Licensing follows specific public terms. Grend published the project under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 International license. This allows players to download and run the files freely for personal use, while commercial use and modified redistributions are restricted.

If you maintain a modpack containing mods that require shared color logic, Prism provides that base. If you're playing normally, you only need to grab it when a dependent mod lists it as a requirement.
