Overview
Rings of Ascension is a Minecraft mod that expands the ring equipment slot with more than twenty new items. Each ring provides a distinct effect while it's worn, letting you tailor your play style without crafting.
How the rings work
The mod hooks into the Curios API on Forge and Neoforge, and the Trinkets API on Fabric. When a ring is placed in the Curios/Trinkets slot, its effect activates automatically. Effects include fire resistance, invisibility, jump boost, night vision, regeneration, slow fall, speed, strength, water breathing, mining speed, luck, and dolphin’s grace.
Finding the rings
Rings do not have crafting recipes. They appear in specific structures or biomes defined by the mod. The Modrinth project page lists the exact spawn locations for each ring, so you can hunt for them in the world.
Compatibility
The mod runs on the Neoforge, Forge, and Fabric loaders. It supports Minecraft versions 1.20.4, 1.20.2, 1.20.1, and 1.19.4. Both client and server installations are required for the rings to function in multiplayer.
Licensing and authorship
Rings of Ascension is authored by focamacho and released under the MIT License, allowing free use and modification.
Who might enjoy it
If you like adventure mods that add gear with clear, active benefits, this mod fits. And it works well for players who enjoy exploring to collect items rather than crafting them. Honestly, the clear effect list helps you decide which rings match your goals.
What to expect
You won't need to craft anything to use the rings. Instead, you will explore, locate the rings, and equip them for immediate effect. The mod does not alter core gameplay beyond adding the rings and their effects.
