Status Effect Bars is a client-side Minecraft modification authored by A5b84. The mod enhances user interface elements by adding small, customizable duration bars directly to the status effects overlay on the main screen and inside the player inventory. These visual bars provide players with an immediate and clear way to monitor the remaining time on active status effects. The project's HUD concept is noted as being potentially inspired by SkyUI's active effects HUD.

Customization and Screen Clutter Settings

The modification includes a dedicated configuration screen powered by Cloth Config to customize bar presentation. Players can use this config screen to edit bar colors and adjust bar positions to fit their preferred on-screen layout. And the mod allows bars to be hidden automatically in specific situations to reduce screen clutter. These supported situations include active beacon effects as well as status effects with very long durations.

Technical Dependencies and Environment Requirements

Status Effect Bars requires Cloth Config to power its in-game settings interface. Players can access this configuration screen directly within the game by using Mod Menu. In terms of side compatibility, client side is required while server side is unsupported.
