What It Does
Blur+ is a client-side mod that reworks the blur Minecraft puts behind your inventory, pause menu and other GUI screens. Instead of the flat, static blur vanilla ships with, it adds animated transitions and lets you change the color of the blur itself. The mod also ships a config screen built with tabs and sliders, so you can tune the look without editing files by hand.
Who It's For
This is for players who spend time in menus and want that time to look better, plus modpack builders who like small visual polish that does not touch gameplay. Look, because it only touches the blur effect, it fits into most builds without fighting other visual mods that leave the blur alone. If you already like the vanilla look, there's not much here for you, since the mod's whole job is limited to that one visual effect.
Compatibility
Blur+ runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt. It's required on the client and is not supported on the server, so you install it on your own game and do not need server operators to add anything for it to work for you. It's built for Minecraft 26.3, 26.2, 26.1, 1.21.8, 1.21.7 and 1.21.6, each version listed on its own rather than a continuous range, so check that your version is one of these before installing.
Customization
The core pitch of the mod is customizability. Beyond swapping the blur's color, you get animation options for how the blur fades or shifts, and the built in settings screen with sliders and tabs makes it quick to adjust those without hunting through a config file.
