Create: Dynamic Lights

What it doesCreate: Dynamic Lights makes Create contraptions emit light while they move. The mod provides two methods. The first uses Minecraft's built-in light blocks. These are invisible, intangible blocks that the mod places and removes automatically as a contraption travels. They melt ice, prevent mob spawns, and work even if the client doesn't have the mod installed. The second method integrates with LambDynamicLights on Fabric or Embeddium and Rubidium dynamic lights on Forge. This path is client-side only, produces smoother lighting without flicker, and has no world impact. The mod is optional on both client and server, but the features you get depend on where it's installed.## Compatibility and loadersThe mod runs on Neoforge, Forge, and Fabric. Supported Minecraft versions are 1.21.1, 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4, 1.20.3, 1.20.2, 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.19.4, 1.19.3, 1.19.2, 1.19.1, and 1.19. On Fabric you need Create-Fabric. On Forge you need Create. LambDynamicLights is recommended for Fabric. Embeddium or Rubidium dynamic lights are recommended for Forge. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 International.## Side requirementsLight blocks work when the mod is on the server only, or on both client and server. Dynamic lights via LambDynamicLights or Embeddium and Rubidium require the mod on the client. If you install the mod only on the client, the light sources are visual only and don't affect the world. If you install it only on the server, you can use light blocks but not the smoother dynamic lights.## Known issuesOn Fabric, installing the mod only on the client causes a crash when you modify and save the server configuration. The author recommends putting the mod on the server even if you don't plan to use light blocks. This prevents client crashes and exception logs on the server side.## Who it suitsThis mod is for players who build moving contraptions with Create and want those contraptions to light up the area around them. If you need the light to change the world, melt snow, or stop mobs from spawning, use the light block method. If you prefer smooth visual lighting without performance cost or world changes, use the dynamic lights integration.
