Forgematica is an unofficial NeoForge port of the Litematica schematic mod. It runs on the client only and adds creative-mode tools such as pasting, cloning, moving, filling and deleting.

Il nostro riassunto

Cosa fa questo progetto

What Forgematica is

Forgematica is an unofficial (Neo)Forge port of Litematica. It is a client-side schematic mod for Minecraft. The project also goes by the name Litematica-Forge.

The original Litematica was started as an alternative to Schematica. It was aimed at players who didn't want Forge installed on their client, which is why it was developed for Liteloader.

What it adds

Beyond schematic support, Forgematica has extra functionality aimed especially at creative mode. The listed examples are schematic pasting, area cloning, moving, filling and deletion.

The project sources don't give a longer feature list. This page sticks to those examples and doesn't add more.

Loader, side and requirements

Modrinth files Forgematica under Utility & Quality of Life. NeoForge is the only mod loader listed.

The client side is marked as required and the server side as unsupported. Install it on your own game, not on a server.

The project page also states that Forgematica requires MaFgLib. Add that library alongside the mod.

Minecraft versions

The listed Minecraft versions are 26.2, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9, 1.21.8, 1.21.7, 1.21.5, 1.21.4, 1.21.3 and 1.21.1.

These are separate entries, not one continuous range. Check your exact version against the list before installing.

Shader compatibility

Shaders are the main caveat. Look, the project says its schematic rendering doesn't currently work properly with shaders on 1.21.3 and later, even with Iris. If you need schematic rendering on those versions, disable shaders.

On older Minecraft versions, rendering is described as working better with shaders, at least with Iris. It also depends on the shader pack. Some packs break the rendering badly, while others used to work nicely.

OptiFine is described as a lot more problematic. The project says you pretty much can't use shaders with OptiFine if you use Forgematica. Its general recommendation is Sodium and Iris instead of OptiFine.

License and source

Forgematica is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

The linked repository credits maruohon/litematica and sakura-ryoko/litematica. It also shows a Gradle snippet for developers, which pulls the mod from the Modrinth Maven repository.

The repository notes that newer Forgematica source code has moved to CagayakeGirls/litematica-neoforge. Look there for current development.

Before you install

Check three things first: your Minecraft version is one of the listed entries, MaFgLib is installed, and you're happy to turn shaders off when you need schematic rendering on 1.21.3 or later.
