Il nostro riassunto

Cosa fa questo progetto

What ServerCore does

ServerCore is a performance mod built for Minecraft servers by Wesley1808. It works on dedicated servers and in singleplayer worlds. You run it on the server side, while client side installation is unsupported.

The mod targets sources of tick lag. It optimizes chunk ticking, mob spawning, item frames, and player logins. Less waiting on random lag spikes. By default, it leaves vanilla mechanics alone. Features that change standard game behavior start turned off. You can edit the settings when you want more aggressive savings.

Entity and mob controls

Entity processing often drains server tick budgets. ServerCore brings an entity activation range system adapted from Spigot and PaperMC. This system cuts down how many entities tick when players aren't nearby.

Large villager setups can slow a server down. Here's the thing, the villager lobotomization feature slows the tick rate for villagers trapped in 1x1 spaces, which helps around crowded trading halls.

Mob breeding can also get out of hand. You can set breeding caps to restrict how many animals of the same type players can breed within a set radius. Anyone also get granular controls over mob spawning. Anyone can change spawn rates and group mobcaps, or force mobcaps onto spawners, nether portal random ticks, and zombie reinforcements.

Dynamic checks and adjustments

ServerCore monitors server tick times during runtime. When tick time changes, dynamic checks automatically adjust your world settings.

The mod can dial these values up or down based on your rules:

  • View distance
  • Simulation distance
  • Chunk tick distance
  • Mobcap limits

Lowering chunk tick distance prevents distant chunks from processing random ticks and mob spawns.

Commands and configuration files

You manage the mod through configuration files and in-game commands. Settings live in config.yml and optimizations.yml inside the config/servercore folder.

You can check server numbers with built-in commands:

  • /servercore reload refreshes your configuration files.
  • /servercore settings lets you change dynamic settings in game.
  • /servercore status shows the state of active dynamic values.
  • /mobcaps displays per-player mobcap numbers for each spawn group.
  • /statistics entities and /statistics block-entities show entity performance details.

The mod provides placeholders for view distance, simulation distance, entity counts, block entity counts, and loaded chunk totals.

Platform support

ServerCore is available under the MIT License. Supported mod loaders are Fabric and Neoforge. Supported Minecraft versions are 26.3, 1.21.1, 26.1.2, and 26.2.
