Visual Workbench

di Fuzs

Visual Workbench keeps your ingredients inside crafting tables when closed and renders items directly on top of the block.

Il nostro riassunto

Cosa fa questo progetto

What the mod does

Standard crafting tables eject your items onto the ground whenever you close the crafting screen. That behavior forces you to finish recipes in one sitting or collect items you didn't intend to drop. Visual Workbench changes how this works.

Crafting tables now store your items directly in the grid. When you step away from the block, your ingredients stay where you left them. You can return later, open the menu, and find every ingredient still sitting in place. It keeps your workspace organized.

Block visuals and item storage

The mod also renders your grid items in the world. Whatever you place inside the crafting grid appears resting on top of the crafting table block.

You can walk past your workshop and inspect what is on your table without opening the interface. It falls under the Utility and Quality of Life category because it removes unnecessary menu clicks. You get a direct look at items currently laid out in the crafting grid.

System requirements and installation sides

Visual Workbench operates across both the client and the server. The client side is required. A server side is required.

Because both environments are required, you cannot run this mod as a client-only visual addition on a plain vanilla server. Both your local game instance and the server host must have the mod installed so inventory data and world rendering stay synchronized for all connected players.

Mod loaders and game versions

The project supports two mod loaders: Fabric and NeoForge.

Verified Minecraft versions on the official record are 1.21.1, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, and 26.2. If you're running an unlisted release, the published project files don't target it. Make sure your game installation matches one of these supported versions before loading the mod.

Mod integrations and license

The mod includes optional support for the Just Enough Items mod. Here's the thing, if you've Just Enough Items present in your mod list, Visual Workbench connects with it automatically.

The project is created by Fuzs. The code is distributed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.
