Co robi ten projekt

Modular Debug Interface

BetterF3 replaces the standard Minecraft debug screen with a modular system designed for readability and customization. Instead of forcing players to parse two dense columns of raw technical statistics, the mod organizes debug information into distinct modules. Each individual line belongs to a specific module, allowing players to tailor the overall layout to fit their gameplay needs.

Players can add new modules, delete unwanted modules, or insert spacing between sections to keep coordinates and environment readings clean. Beyond restructuring the layout, modules can be repositioned across the display. Users can also disable individual lines within any module or toggle off entire modules to prevent clutter.

Visual Styling and Animations

BetterF3 provides visual configuration tools to adjust how technical data is rendered on screen. Players can change the colors assigned to each module to make specific readings stand out against different backgrounds.

Additional visual adjustments include modifying the background color behind all text lines and enabling or disabling text shadows, which are turned on by default. Honestly, the mod also incorporates opening and closing animations for the debug overlay, complete with configurable transition speeds.

In-Game Configuration

Configuring BetterF3 can be handled through in-game interfaces or configuration files depending on the environment:

  • Fabric: Players can access the settings interface using the F3 + M shortcut or by installing ModMenu. Cloth Config is included to support the F3 + M shortcut.
  • Forge: Users can edit the config/betterf3.toml file or install the Cloth Config API to open settings in-game via F3 + M.

Community translations for BetterF3 are maintained and updated through Crowdin.

Compatibility and Platform Support

BetterF3 is a client-side mod under the MIT License. It's unsupported on dedicated servers and requires client installation. On Modrinth, verified compatibility lists Fabric, Quilt, and Neoforge loaders for Minecraft versions 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, and 26.1. The repository documentation also references Forge support.
