Co robi ten projekt

Overview of features

Bygone Nether adds custom structures to the Nether dimension in Minecraft Java Edition. It focuses on adventure and world generation, giving each biome its own distinct architectural points of interest. You don't just run across standard terrain anymore.

Each new structure is unique to the specific Nether biome where it spawns. Inside these locations, you encounter brand new mobs that inhabit the rooms and corridors. You can fight hostile creatures or befriend certain new mobs as you travel. Nether fortresses also receive a full redesign to change how you explore them. On top of that, bastion remnants generate directly in basalt deltas, bringing bastions into biomes that normally lack them.

As you explore, you gather new resources and collect fresh loot from these spaces. The mod includes a smithing table recipe for gilded netherite, and it features an in-world block placement method to handle the wither.

Design and origins

The project was created by izofar. It was originally conceived as part of a Vanilla+ project intended to bring back alpha style survival difficulty. Over time, it grew into a standalone world generation project aimed at building out the lore and ancient history of the Nether dimension.

The focus remains on survival gameplay. Here's the thing, one structures and mob encounters provide extra difficulty for players who want more risk when stepping through the portal. If you want background music while playing, a dedicated soundtrack is available to stream on SoundCloud.

Compatibility and setup

Bygone Nether runs under the MIT License and requires installation on both the client and the server. It has no required companion mods or external dependencies.

The mod supports two loaders:

  • Fabric
  • Forge

It works on specific Minecraft versions: 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19, 1.19.2, 1.20, and 1.20.1.

If you plan to add it to a multiplayer server, make sure both the server and every connecting player have the mod installed. Further information about third-party mod integrations and recommended fixes for older setups is maintained on the project CurseForge page.
