Create Railways Navigator is an addon for the Create mod that focuses on transportation and utility features. It adds several new capabilities related to train navigation across your rail network. The project is built for Minecraft versions 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 and requires both client-side and server-side installation to function. Players can use the mod on Forge, Neoforge, and Fabric mod loaders.
Route Finding with the Navigator
The mod introduces a new Navigator tool that is inspired by the DB Navigator. You can use this Navigator to search for routes between two stations on your established rail network. Real talk, when you look up a journey, the tool will show you departure times, any current delays, and other specific details about your trip. For station infrastructure, the Navigator can be placed on lecterns for viewing.
Upgraded Station and Train Displays
Create Railways Navigator features Advanced Displays, which serve as an improved version of Create's Display Boards designed specifically for use with trains and stations. At a station, these boards present more detailed information about departing trains, allowing you to see the line, the platform, delays, and other related information. And these advanced displays can display data from other sources. If the display is too small, the "Time: " prefix simply disappears, and the displays will automatically change type when a display link is connected.
These displays can also be placed directly on the trains themselves. Onboard displays can show passengers information such as the next stop or the terminus station. When a train is located at its terminus, the displays show new information texts like "Don't board" or "This train terminates here".
Train Scheduling and Separation
The mod expands your scheduling options by adding new schedule entries. You can use the Train Separation Instruction to distribute your trains evenly along your route. If you need a more advanced version of wildcards, you can use the Prioritized Destination Instruction. And you can define the terminus using Schedule Sections.
Compatibility and Dependencies
To play Create Railways Navigator, you must install Create or Create Fabric. File versions with the C6 suffix are compatible with Create 6. Versions without the C6 suffix are compatible with Create 5, unless Create 6 is the only version available for that specific Minecraft version.
Version compatibility also affects dependencies. Versions 0.9.0 and higher require DragonLib to be installed. However, older versions 0.8.5 and below don't require DragonLib.
The mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later. Because alpha versions in particular may contain critical bugs, the author advises players to always create a backup before installing an update of this mod to protect your worlds.
