what the project does
In default Minecraft, glass crafting is a one-way street. Once you craft blocks into panes or dye them a color, you can't turn them back. Extra glass bottles from brewing can easily pile up in storage with nothing to do with them.
Recyclable Glass is created by daenvil to address this issue. It introduces extra crafting table and smelting recipes to let you reuse your glass items. You can turn panes back into blocks, strip colors off dyed items, and melt glass bottles down for panes.
who it suits
This project suits players and server owners who want flexible inventory management for glass. If you craft too many stained panes for a build or end up with chests of unused water bottles, you can recycle those items into standard building blocks.
crafting table recipes
You get two new options on the crafting table grid.
One recipe lets you combine six glass panes to craft one full glass block. This gives you a way to recover whole blocks when you've leftover panes from a build.
The other recipe allows you to craft tinted glass with any dyed glass block. Look, vanilla crafting only accepts regular undyed glass blocks for tinted glass. This mod expands that rule so any colored glass block works as the base material.
furnace recipes
The furnace provides several smelting options for recycling glass.
Smelting any dyed glass block or tinted glass block in a furnace turns it into regular undyed glass.
Smelting any dyed glass pane in a furnace turns it into a normal undyed glass pane.
Smelting an empty glass bottle turns that bottle into an undyed glass pane.
These recipes let you cycle materials between panes, blocks, tinted glass, and bottles without losing excess stock.

Recyclable Glass fits into the Game Mechanics category and uses the LicenseRef-All-Rights-Reserved license.
On servers, the mod is required because the server processes recipe logic. On client instances, installation is optional.
The project works with Fabric, Forge, Neoforge, Quilt, and as a Datapack.
Supported Minecraft versions are 26.3, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.21.10, 1.21.9, 26.2, 1.21.8, 1.21.7, 1.21.6, and 1.21.5.
