Async Locator

作者 bright_spark

Async Locator moves vanilla structure searches off the main thread so servers don't stall when players run /locate, trade for explorer maps, or dolphins hunt treasure.

我们的介绍

这个项目能做什么

What it doesAsync Locator changes how the game searches for structures so the work happens on a background thread instead of the main server thread. When a player runs the /locate command, a villager offers an explorer map, a dolphin looks for treasure, or a chest generates an exploration map, the search no longer freezes the server tick. The mod is server-side only; clients only need it for single-player worlds.## Supported scenariosThe asynchronous path covers four vanilla cases: the /locate command executed by a player, villager explorer map trades, dolphin treasure finding, and exploration maps generated in chests (added in version 1.1.0). Other mods that add their own structure searches will not benefit unless they explicitly integrate with Async Locator's API.## Mod loader and version compatibilityAsync Locator runs on Fabric and Forge. The Modrinth project lists support for Minecraft 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.19.4, 1.20, 1.20.1, and 1.20.2. For newer versions, the author points to a separate port by Alvaro842DEV that targets 1.21 and later.## Known compatibility notesStructure Essentials also touches vanilla's locating code. On startup only one of the two mods' locating improvements will take effect, though no crashes or errors are reported. The author notes that mods altering vanilla structure locating may affect Async Locator's functionality. Other mods can depend on Async Locator via CurseMaven or Modrinth Maven and use the AsyncLocator class to make their own searches asynchronous.## Who should use itServer operators who see lag spikes when players explore or trade for maps. The mod is licensed MIT and requires no client installation for multiplayer.
