Signed Paintings

What it does Signed Paintings turns empty signs, hanging signs, renamed banners, and shields into custom paintings by reading an image URL you paste into the sign text. The mod downloads the image, renders it on the block or item, and caches it for the session so it doesn't re-download on every sign. You can adjust size, alignment, and offset in a live preview UI, and choose any block texture as a frame. An optional pixelization filter scales the image to match Minecraft's pixel density, which works with high-resolution texture packs too. ## Multiplayer behavior Other players see the same painting only if they also have the mod installed. Without the mod, they see a sign showing the URL and settings text. You can hide the sign underground and use the offset slider to position the painting where you want it, though the compressed text may appear as thin lines. ## Commands and moderation The mod adds a /paintings command group. You can toggle rendering globally or per type (signs, banners, shields), toggle culling to make signs visible from further away at an FPS cost, check status of loaded images, and upload images to Imgur directly from the game. For moderation, you can block specific URLs, list blocked links, or enable auto-blocking of newly loading links. ## Compatibility and requirements Signed Paintings requires the Fabric loader and Fabric API. It's developed for Fabric; Quilt is untested but may work. Forge is unsupported, though Sinytra Connector might allow it to run with possible bugs. The mod is client-side required and server-side unsupported. Supported Minecraft versions are 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1, and 1.21.11. For security, images must come from Imgur, Freeimage, or ImgBB unless you edit the config file to remove that restriction.
